The Sling Projectile inflates on contact with the water to become a flotation collar for the subject or at minimum, an easy to hold floating ring. The 300 ft. (92 m), 8 mm Polyspectra line floats and has a tensile strength of 2,200 lbf. Average launch distance with the sling projectile is 200 ft. (61 m).

ResQmax™ Streamline Systems Rescue Solutions has engineered a major upgrade in the ResQmax Projectiles, making them easier to fill and more durable during use. The new filler hose assembly features a quick connect fitting for the projectile and the hose/air bottle connector. The hose/air bottle connector is available for SCBA, SCUBA, and DIN type fittings and connectors can be quickly changed with the quick connect fitting to the filler hose. The new nozzle assembly has a quick connect fitting that just snaps into the nozzle. The new nozzle protectors are glassfilled nylon and less likely to dent and easier to replace when needed. The systems opperate at 3,000 psi, which requires a high-pressure tank to fill the projectile. The Streamline Projectiles may only be used with the Streamline filler hose assembly – NOT with the original ResQmax assembly.
