Why carry just an escape kit when the Firefighter Retrieval Kit has the tools to accomplish a horizontal or vertical evacuation of a downed firefighter even under dire circumstances. The single pulley allows the resucer to build a 2:1 mechanical advantage for assistance in dragging an incapacitated firefighter across the floor, especially useful in a low-rise/wide-rise (big box store construction) building. By rigging the single and double pulleys and connecting to a high point, a 3:1 mechanical advantage can be built to raise a downed firefighter up and over a window sill or other obstruction and down to the ground or other area of safe haven. Use the Survivor 8 to lower yourself or another firefighter to safety. The tough CORDURA® nylon storage bag attaches to an SCBA or a truck belt and has pockets for storing the hardware. Developed by firefighters and then field tested in real life applications. |
