CMC ProTech Roof Anchor - New for 2009!
UL Classified to NFPA 1983 - General Use
Designed by firefighters, the Roof Anchor quickly provides a secure anchor point for roof operations. Set the anchor on the roof and hammer the 1/2 inch (12mm) diameter spike into the surface. When not in use, the spike folds into the anchor for safe storage and transport. While rated over 8,093 lbf. (36kN), the Roof Anchor's working strength is very dependent on the structrual integrity of the surface, including any damage caused by the spike. Because of the highly variable strength of roof materials and difficulty in assessing this strength accurately, the use of a second Roof Anchor or multiple units shoud be standard protocol.
